Grand Team was more than happy to organise for 3rd year in a row our very own GRAND CUP ,which was held on 19 May in Haskovo .
This year the event was very special as it included one of the biggest competition for the year -Bulgaria Cup . Apart from this highlight the tournament also had Rising Stars and Open National competitions for all levels and age groups .
We would like to express our gratitude to the Municipality of Haskovo and the major Dobri Belivanov himself for their unconditional financial support and cooperation .
As our main goal with each event is to provide only the best possible for everyone , audience ,guests , judges and mainly competitors , we wanted to make sure there is no compromise in terms of organisation . For the first year we also had price money for the finalists in the main event Bulgaria Cup and that was possible thanks to our sponsors : FLAIR , CREDI YES and ATHLETIC 108 .
This year we had record entries of competitors from 39 clubs and 17 cities !
The biggest number was in Youth Latin and Ballroom categories where there were quarterfinals and the most competitive one was the Amateur Latin where there were 5 top couples each of them former Nationals finalists or champions !
Most of the judges made comments that it really wasn't easy for them and they had tough job to decide who deserves to win that category . And that showed clearly in the results - they were so close that the couples in the top 3 had almost even result with each of them winning some of the dances . It was truly a delight to watch !
In that tight competition it was a very good debut for the new partnership of Bratan Bratan and Miroslava Doycheva . Paired up less than a mont before that and haven't trained for more than 10 days in total , they finished 3rd with a tie for second and winning the Cha Cha Cha ! Everyone was happy to see both of them back on the dance floor after more than 6 months not competing - there were only positive comments from the guest experts about them and their performance was great perceived by the crowd .
Our junior couple Marin Martinov & Dilyana Dimitrova won the gold in Junior 2 B Latin category and finished 3rd in Bulgaria Cup . Everyone noticed their progress since their last competition and Dilyana stole the night with her new " Peacock " latin dress designed by Pavlina Valcheva herself !
Once again we would like to thank everyone who helped us create this celebration of dance - The Municipality of Haskovo , the sponsors Flair , Credi Yes , Athletic 108 and of course our GRAND Team .
And last but not least all the guests of the event : audience , trainers , judges, officials and competitors - we create this one for you and your growing support and interest every year means a lot ! We promise next year will be even better !!!
